Development of the HCG Diet
In the 1950s, Dr. Albert T. Simeons discovered the HCG Diet while satisfying a curiosity that he obtained while traveling through India. As Dr. Simeons pondered this phenomenon, he began to do research and discovered the mechanism behind the HCG hormone.
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or HCG, is a hormone that is produced in pregnant women throughout their pregnancy to protect the fetus from nutritional deficiencies.
